SNOW WHITE - DEC 2006

The Story

Snow White is a beautiful young Princess that lives with the Evil Stepmother Queen Morgiana following the death of her parents. She is very popular with the locals who try to stick up for her against the queens cruelty.(9 to 5) Her best friends are Muddles, the Court Jester, and Herman, who is actually the Queen’s Henchman, but has a soft spot for the Princess and hates seeing her treated badly. One day she is walking home from doing all the chores the Queen has set for her when she meets Prince Lorenzo of Lombardy, who is on his way to the Palace to marry “the most beautiful woman in Moravia” They fall in love, (The Love of my life)but just as Snow White is about to find out Lorenzo’s name, Herman drags her off to the palace on the Queens orders.

Back at the Palace, the Queen is asking her Magic Mirror who the most beautiful woman (Queen of the Underground)in all of Moravia is as she has done a thousand times before, and its always her! When the mirror answers that Snow White is now more beautiful than her she flies into a rage and has Herman lock her in the Palace dungeons. The Queen then meets Lorenzo and vows she will marry him, but he only has eyes for Snow White and despite the Queen saying she has disinherited her he will find her and make her his wife. On hearing this the Queen tells Herman to take snow White into the forest and do away with her!!!

Herman takes Snow White into the Forest, but cant bring himself to do the deed and abandons her there scared and alone. (Bad Day) He goes back to the Queen and pretends to have killed her, but the queen asks the mirror who tells her that snow white is still alive! She sends ghosts and ghouls after Snow White,(Forest Dance) but Fairy Goodheart then appears and majiks them away. She tells Muddles and Herman to find the Prince to rescue Snow White (Shoop Shoop Song)The Fairy tells the audience that she has seven little friends that can help, The Dwarves! (Hard Knock Life)

When the Dwarves find Snow White she is scared at first, but then they invite her to come and stay with them, which she does. (Little Help from my Friends)

Act 2

Snow White has settled in at the dwarves cottage and is teaching them to clean up.(Consider Yourself) After the dwarves go to work however she reveals that she is still pining for Lorenzo. (Somewhere out there)The Queen however has not given up trying to kill her and disguises herself as an old crone who will poison Snow White with an apple.(Bad Moon Rising)

Queen Morgiana arrives at The Dwarves cottage and convinces her to eat the apple. She slips into a coma and the queen runs off victorious. The Dwarves arrive home and find her unconscious on the floor. Fairy Goodheart tells them that she is not dead, but only true love’s kiss can wake her. (You’re Beautiful)

The villagers, Lorenzo, Muddles and Herman arrive and Lorenzo wakes her with a kiss, but then the Queen arrives and she and the Fairy have a spell battle (Buffy Theme) in which the Queen is finally defeated! They all celebrate (We go together) and Prince Lorenzo and Snow White decide to get married! (I’ll be there for you)
